How does the ranking work?
Anyone can nominate any person, place or business.
Vegas Elites editors will take into consideration the quality of the nomination, they will then research the internet, media, and other sources of information to verify the nomination provided and whenever possible validate the experience themselves. While no research or poll provides 100% accurate results, this research is designed in a way to provide a more objective ranking than traditional polls. The ranking is decided based on three parameters in the following order:

1. Quality of nominee (products, services and professional characteristics)
2. Quantity of positive votes (Impact on local scene, economy and community)
3. Positive media exposure (local, national and internet media references)

The majority of the weight is given to the quality of the nominee as validated by the experience of our reviewers/editors (50%), followed by the quantity of positive votes received via our website (30%), followed by the visibility of the nominee in the media (20%). The reason for the selection of these three parameters and their associated weight to minimize the subjective opinions of the individual editor, voter and media professionals.  As it is evident, the allocation of weight value in ranking criteria is designed to place an emphasis on quality (excellence) more than quantity (visibility). That allows new comers with higher quality products and services a chance to be considered for the list, thus providing a more accurate and updated ranking in Las Vegas fast growing scene.

The results of the votes will be published in November/December 2007
